Busy busy week

It's been one of those weeks...I haven't had time for anything! I wanted to get some outfit posts in but I have found no extra time or energy ( I promise to do so this weekend) So I have decided to share with you what has been keeping me so busy!

                                                                Glamour Gowns

This past weekend I had the opportunity to give back as I helped at Glamour Gowns. Glamour Gowns is an event put on by CASA Los Angeles in which everything a girl needs for prom is given to foster girls. This is Chinese Laundry's 5th year in donating over 400 brand new shoes for the girls. It's an awesome event and anyone who has the chance to help out should. It's always good to give back!

Chinese Laundry is launching a denim line next week!

So we have been busy planning our big denim launch which is on April 3rd hosted by Shenae Grimes (90210). We are really excited to show the whole line ranging in different pieces, from colored skinnies, to vests to dresses. (The first picture is a sneak peak at Magic) I will be working the event, so I promise a lot of pictures and more info to come! Stay tuned...

The truth is...

So I don't know if you caught on to my shoe collection but I do tend to wear a lot of Chinese Laundry. Don't get me wrong, it's a brand I believe in and have worn growing up. The truth is... I work for Chinese Laundry ( I told you I would give you a glimpse into the industry didn't I?) I am not here to promote them (although some of my favorite pairs of shoes are from Chinese Laundry) but to share with you my entire shoe collection. I just tend to wear my Chinese Laundry shoes more because they are more everyday shoes! That being said I have a sneek peek of some new styles that are coming out. Thought I would share :)

Brand new styles! Always a good day in the shoe biz!

 How perfect are these pumps?

 Love heel cut-outs!

3 color tones & thick heel? I am in!

Just in love!

4 is better than 1

                                                          Top: Urban Outfitters
                                                          Jeans: Ever
                                                          Shoes: "Moving On" Chinese Laundry
                                                          Clutch: Henri Bendel
                                                          Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs
                                                          Turquoise necklace: Gifted
                                                          Ring: Borrowed

I am so tired of wearing black for a night out. I know it seems dressier and I have a ton of it but once in a while it's time to retire the black. Especially now that Spring is officially here, I am definitely trying to incorporate more color into my wardrobe. That being said....I wore 4 different colors. After all, 4 is better than 1.

I wore this outfit out to dinner with the boy. I love the combination of colors, I stayed in the same families with the yellow/tangerine for the top and pants and then my accessories and shoes were in the purple/turquoise family. I love these tangerine pants by Ever (I'm sorry the lighting is terrible), I actually bought them 2 years ago and they are in amazing shape and by far my most comfortable skinnies. It just shows you that you definitely have to hold on to some pieces, because you never know when they are going to blow up as a trend again.

I love the combination of tangerine and turquoise, they just compliment each other beautifully (in my opinion) and am totally obsessed with anything turquoise right now. When I buy shoes, I try to buy a different color or print. I have plenty of neutrals and blacks so I tend to try to stay away from that (except if they have some unique detail that I have to have in my collection) I love these pumps from Chinese Laundry, the turquoise suede, the thick heel and platform make these one comfy pair of pumps. I am now thinking about getting the tangerine color they come in as well.

Much more to come! XOXO

I found my heart in San Francisco!

                                             Dress: Fashion Young
                                             Jacket: Angl
                                             Ankle boots: Chinese Laundry
T-Shirt scarf: Made by Jessica Ho
                                             Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
                                             Glasses: H&M

I was fascinated by these hearts we found in a park downtown. Perfect for a kodak moment...I do have to admit that a boy took these pictures so they aren't exactly up to par (hey... he tried right?) We really lucked out with the weather it was gorgeous in San Francisco; probably even warmer than it was in the OC. I actually packed this striped long-sleeve maxi for the plane ride home but couldn't waste it on such a gorgeous day!

Who ever invented the maxi dress is a true genius. Usually my definition of comfort lies in a cute pair of sweatpants or leggings but lately I've found the maxi dress to be my go to comfort outfit. It's so simple to pull an outfit together with the maxi if you are running late or just need to put something to run an errand.

These ankle boots are by far my best purchase. I could run all over the city in these puppies pain free. The thick block heel definitely helps and it's the perfect transitional bootie into all seasons.

I always leave my heart in San Francisco but this time I left my phone in a cab in San Francisco. So unfortunately, I lost a ton of pictures but I will have new ones this week.

#ShoeholicProblems

I am sure we all face this problem at some point...especially my fellow shoeaholics. you've seen my closet... I have shoes stored in every nook & cranny. Those who aren't in their boxes are on a small bookshelf on the bottom of my closet and my boots? They are stored under my bed. Stop buying shoes? Out of the question (Although my mother would love that) Move into a bigger house? Not until I am rich, then I will have a dedicated room for my shoedrobe. After browsing the web, I have gathered storage ideas from fellow bloggers, pinterest and simply browsing through ikea and other furniture retailers for possible solutions.
Shoes are after all works of art...so why not showcase them on bookshelves? So chic and it leaves that extra room for accessories!
I would love to have all my boxes organized like this...if I ony had the time. (I do label all my boxes though)
So cute for flats, Toms, oxfords, sandals, sneakers and slippers
 Great display case!
Saves so much space and shows off those works of art!
 Just want this altogether!

I'm open to other suggestions as well! Let me know what you think!

San Fran

Shirt, Harem pants, "Martano" boots- BCBGeneration
Scarf: Express

I love San Fran...I feel like I need to live there at some point in my life. The food, the fashion, the scenery...I love it all. There's always something to do, go, see. It's nothing like Orange County and although I work in LA, I don't really get to enjoy the city and San Francisco is just different.

Anyways...this was my airplane/first day outfit. I love a good pair of harem pants! They are so versatile, I can dress them up for a night out, make them biz casual for work or just lounge around them on a lazy day. I like to pair mine with these military inspired boots from BCBGeneration, seriously these are the most comfortable shoes I own. I even lasted a couple of hours running around the city...which is to say a lot! I wear these boots with everything, it just gives an easy, edgy vibe to any outfit.

More to come! XOXO

The Debate

I wasn't much of a sneaker girl growing up, I loved any excuse to wear a fancy impractical shoe but I have to say that I am fascinated with these 80's inspired hightops that are making a comeback. To try or not to try? This is my question...I have been browsing around to see what other brands/designers are offering and these are the few that caught my eye.

Giuseppe Zanotti $650

See by Chloe $375

Marc by Marc Jacobs $320

Nine West $85

Dirty Laundry $69
To try or not to try? I am still debating... maybe I will start with the Nine West pair and see how I feel.
Stay tuned!

Flower Power

                                                       Flower Headband: BCBGeneration
Button Down: Borrowed
Liquid Leggings: Nordstrom
Shoes: "Gretta" Steve Madden
Accessories: Forever 21

I just started my blog and I already feel like I neglected it...so disappointing...but am getting back on track today. This is one of my easy everyday outfits and I firmly believe that leggings are a girls best friend. It's so easy to dress up or down and not to mention comfortable!
The Gretta is one of my favorite shoes right now. I love any shoe with an ankle strap and am obsessed with chunky heels. The chunkier the heel the more comfortable the shoe. I also love these shoes with a thin, lacey sock and girly dress.
Stay tuned, pictures from San Fran to come!

TGIF

TGIF is all I have to say...
Coming back from vacation is tough and this definitely has been a long, tough week that has prevented me from updating my blog :(
I have more in store for you this weekend! Enjoy! XOXO
