Secret Garden

It sometimes amazes me that this is in my backyard. It's a jungle out there literally...actually it is more like a secret garden (best movie btw). There's all sorts of buried treasure out there...broken lamps, birdcages, a tree house and not to mention the 5 ft weeds... but it does make for a good photo opp!

Again with the maxis...I just love them. I especially love this Aztec print maxi from BCBGeneration for the following reasons: 1. It has pockets 2. It is actually long enough (which is always a huge issue for me) and 3. the print has so many colors in it...it literally goes with everything!

Flatforms are my new favorite style of shoe! They are so comfortable... I seriously will wear them whenever I can. I am also thinking about buying the Get Away in the other two colors because they are just that amazing!

Stay tuned for more!

Santa Barbara Wine Mixer

I tend to get overly excited about birthdays and I build up these hopes and somehow always get let down. But this year was different. I guess when you get older, you learn that all you need for your birthday is to spend it with the people you care about the most. So that's what I did! Last weekend I got to go wine tasting with the boy, my bestest friend and her boy. The weather was perfect, the wine was flowing...I couldn't have asked for anything more.

We went tasting in the Santa Inez Valley and just drove until we saw a winery that we wanted to stop at. I usually plan everything out, especially on trips like this, but this actually worked out a lot better.  The sommelier at one of the places we stopped at actually gave us a behind the scenes tour and took us down to the cellar and showed us all the grape plants.

                                                      Boots: Vince Camuto

**All these gorgeous pictures were taken by my best friend Jessica Rachelle**

I love this horse printed dress from BCBGeneration, I thought it was the perfect match for being outdoors. I swear by these Chinese Laundry tights! They are the most amazing pair I have ever owned! (this is not because I work for the company) They are fleece lined and thick, it's just really hard to find tights like that! I also love these Vince Camuto boots; the hidden wedge adds the right amount of height and they definitely let me trek through mud and multiple wineries.

I had an amazing weekend (it went by way too fast) and was by far the best birthday!
Stay tuned for more!

Chinese Laundry presents the Denim Line

Man oh man, have I been MIA. No more excuses time to get to it and I have a lot to share! These are the pictures (finally!!) from the Chinese Laundry Denim Fashion Show Launch which was Tuesday, April 3rd at Eden in Hollywood. I was so excited to see the pieces come to life and all the hard work come together. That was until one of the models didn't show up (eek...) so with no back-ups they asked me to be in the show an hour before it was supposed to start. I cannot tell you how nervous I was... me modeling with professionals? Aah nightmare! I am definitely more of a behind the scenes girl, I like putting together the production and seeing the outcome. Not to mention, I was so involved with this whole event behind the scenes that this took me by surprise. I mustered up the courage and did it. Luckily, the clothes fit me perfectly. Now I can say that I have been on both sides of the runway and let me tell you I prefer behind the scenes, where you can't see me shaking. The line though is GORGEOUS! Pictures definitely do not do it justice. Believe me, I have been up and personal with this line and the attention to detail amazes me. Wait until you see the denim jackets...dying!

90210's Shenae Grimes hosted, wearing a Chinese Laundry denim jacket. Love her outfit!

Add on to the makeup I had already piled on!

First Look: Leatherized denim skirt (amazing invention), so comfortable

Second look: Denim dress with pleated tiered skirt! Umm need this in my closet!

Finale

Smising with denim designers Toni and Stephen.
Definitely needed a glass of bubbly after that!

Shoes worn: Chinese Laundry Whistle
(These are actually a really practical and comfortable patent pump. I also have them in nude. If I can walk a runway in them...so can you!)

I do feel proud of the work I accomplished through this show and it all paid off. We received a lot of positive feedback from the press and all those who attended and I cannot wait to see the line in stores!

Fashion Show Prep

Sweater: H&M
Sweater Shorts: Urban Outfitters
Booties: Coach
Tights: Target
Necklaces: Forever 21
Ring: House of Harlow

The Chinese Laundry Denim Fashion show is approaching very fast (eeek tomorrow) and we have been working in full swing. On Friday, we did a 4 hour casting for the fashion show, going from one gorgeous girl to the next. This was my first glimpse of the line and I have to say I am very excited to see everyone's reactions. ( I have a slight glimpse below of the more basic pieces) The fit and details are impeccable. Cannot wait to get my hands on some of these pieces!

So I planned on relaxing this past weekend in Santa Barbara after a long Friday and even longer week but then ended up going to Hollywood for a full run through and styling of the show. I may be tired but that's why I decided to work in fashion, it's fun, it's exciting and I can never pass on an opportunity to be part of the show in a bigger way.

That being said I left rainy Santa Barbara Saturday morning. I wanted to be comfy but warm so I decided to wear this ensemble. I fell in love with these shorts in San Francisco and still haven't got the chance to wear them so I seized the opportunity. Sweater shorts, oversized sweater and tights, this my ideal winter outfit now. I need more sweater shorts in my life... simply amazing. I fell in love with these booties once I saw the oversized bow on the side and you can probably see that I wear these puppies to death. They are so comfortable and I was so surprised that they were Coach...adorable design.

Below is a little sneak peak of the Chinese Laundry Denim line. I decided to show some of the more basic pieces, the denim fits amazing and they made the pieces extra long for us taller girls (which always is a problem for me) I love the different textures and colors of this line and it's all denim! It makes me really want to go back to fall and we have had the weirdest weather this year, the seasons are all over the place.
